In the book "Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience", Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi outlines his theory that people are most happy when they are in a state of flow — a state of concentration or complete absorption with the activity at hand and the situation.
The idea of flow is identical to the feeling of being in the zone or in the groove.

The flow state is an optimal state of intrinsic motivation, where the person is fully immersed in what he or she is doing. This is a feeling everyone has at times, characterized by a feeling of great absorption, engagement, fulfillment, and skill— and during which temporal concerns (time, food, ego-self, etc.) are typically ignored.

To achieve a flow state, a balance must be struck between the challenge of the task and the skill of the performer. If the task is too easy or too difficult, flow cannot occur. Both skill level and challenge level must be matched and high.


The flow state also implies a kind of focused attention, and indeed, it has been noted that exercise, meditation, yoga, and martial arts seem to improve a person's capacity for flow.
Among other benefits, all of these activities train and improve attention.


In short, flow could be described as a state where attention, motivation, and the situation meet, resulting in a kind of productive harmony or feedback.

The bottom line is, if you face a challenge in any situation, personal or business and you don't have the necessary skill-set, you will feel anxiety.
Anxiety is considered to be a normal reaction to stress. It may help a person to deal with a difficult situation, for example at work or at school, by prompting one to cope with it.
When anxiety becomes excessive, it may fall under the classification of an anxiety disorder.

On the other hand, when you have a high level of skill-set, but you don't find the matching challenge for that, you will be bored. So it's really up to you. You don't want to experience any, or at least less of this, you need to come up with a plan. Of course, first you need to have a goal.
A clear goal, what is attainable and align appropriately with one's skill set and abilities.

* What do I really want to achieve from life?
* What kind of person do I want to be?
* Am I clear about my personal goals and ambitions?
* Am I making the right decisions to get me where I really want to be?
* Am I in charge of my life and my studies - or am I just hoping it all will work out
somehow?





Personal development can take place in many forms, via books, audio, DVD-s, group mastermind sessions, coaching, courses, physical activities, reflection, meditating, praying, art and music to name a few, and the main aim is to keep on learning, developing and growing.

Developing your personal and professional potential doesn’t happen overnight.
It takes commitment, time and effort. It's a lifelong journey.
It doesn't mean you will have to spend the rest of your life achieving a goal.
Most of the time if you commit yourself in one area for 90 days, one hour each day, you will have tremendous changes in your life.

Many of us believe that learning happens only in schools. We fail to see that learning is in fact an on-going process and it can happen to anyone, anywhere and anytime.
It is unfortunate that many people today do not pursue their dreams. They get stuck working a 9-5 job for 20 plus years with nothing to show for it.




We have all been raised in a society that installs limiting beliefs, and yes you probably still possess the beliefs that you picked up when you were young and they continue to hold you back today.

Personal development is about how you handle your life, thoughts, feelings, emotions, and reactions. Personal development techniques include goal setting, changing to a positive mind set, and learning to deal with all situations in a positive manner. These skills will transfer to the workplace in business development. Without goal setting, time management skills, and positive thinking, a successful career is not possible.

Social development is about how you deal with other people. Obviously, people skills and social development are necessary for business development and a successful career. How you interact with your co-workers, your boss, and your customers, clients, or prospects is just as important as your actual work performance. Social development skills include situation management, stress management, problem solving, dispute resolution, and communication skills. Without proper social development, you cannot have a successful career.

Besides helping with your business development, personal and social development will help you to realize how successful you truly are in your career. Through personal development skills such as time management and organization, you will be able to better manage your finances and household. This will allow you to better see and enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Social development will also help you realize your success as you develop stronger relationships with your friends and family, and gain more support from these groups than you ever have before through improved communication skills.
Overall, happiness and success in all areas of your life are dependent upon a balance between personal and social development.

Stop Begging! Start Manifesting



Do you remember that first spark of hope you felt when you watched The Secret? I clearly remember the desire that filled my heart, knowing that – Yes, I can make my dreams come true – FINALLY!

But how many of you soon saw that hope dwindle into frustration? How many of you (and be honest now) started muttering things like:

- “It seems to work for other people, but I just can’t get it right.”

- “I’m frustrated that sometimes I can get it to work, but sometimes I can’t. What’s the trick?”

Sadly, many people give up just a couple of steps before the finish line because they’ve decided that if it’s not working by now, it’s never going to work at all. Worse still are those who throw in more and more energy because they think that with more resources, the results will come faster.

This is like expecting 9 mothers to conceive and deliver a baby in 1 month. You also can’t bake cookies in half the time by doubling the temperature. You’ll incinerate those cookies to ashes!

In simple terms: Everything in this world has a natural development time, and this fact will not change no matter what resources you throw at it.

So relax and be patient. Remember that you too, as part of the universe, are also governed by the laws of the universe, and you cannot change the natural development time.

If you remember this, you will less likely work yourself up into frustration, or worse, push yourself into a downward spiral of negativity.

3. Support and Educate Yourself

Like the child who is learning how to walk, you need support. You also need to guidance on how to do it, and also the role models to look up to.

Many people give up because they think that “The Secret” is the “be all and end all” solution. Well, it’s NOT. “The Secret” is just a small portion. It was never intended, and has never been, the whole answer.

Coming to the conclusion that the Law of Attraction doesn’t work when all you ever did to educate yourself was watch “The Secret” 19 times (without looking at changing the habits of other areas of your life) is like coming to the conclusion that exercising is not an effective way to lose weight because all you did is run on the treadmill for 2 hours a day (but you’re still stuffing yourself with fried foods and cheesecakes).

So seek and be hungry for new knowledge. Also, make an effort to be amongst people or communities where you can support each other, learn from each other and also share new knowledge that you have found.

While the Law of Attraction is not an overnight delivery service, it will indeed deliver, if you do your part too!
